  • Inspiring young people by celebrating ‘London and the UK welcoming the world’ with the written and spoken word. MLA Council is pleased to announce its grants programme for Phase 1 of Literature & Storytelling, one of the strands of Setting the Pace, MLA’s programme for The London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.

  • MLA South East changes

  • At a meeting on 6 March the Board of MLA South East agreed to start a transformation process that will result in the closure of MLA South East operations by the end of March 2009. By then, smaller regional MLA teams will have been set up to work with other cultural services and a joined-up government presence in the region.
  • Find Your Talent – Cultural Offer South East
  • 14 February 2008
  • The Government has announced a new scheme designed to give young people the opportunity to experience at least 5 hours of high quality arts and culture every week. The ‘Find Your Talent’ project will be piloted initially in 10 locations and will explore the best methods of helping young people discover and develop their creative talents and personal skills through direct exposure to high quality arts and culture.
