  • The British Library is the national library of the United Kingdom and is regarded as one of the world's greatest libraries. The BL’s vision is to make the world's intellectual, scientific and cultural heritage accessible, and to bring the collections of the British Library to everyone - at work, school, college or home.

  • Clore Leadership Programme
  • The programme is an initiative of the Clore Duffield Foundation, and aims to help to train and develop a new generation of leaders for the cultural sector here in the UK. Each year the programme assists a number of Clore Fellows to undertake an individual programme of learning, work, research, training, and secondment, designed to develop their leadership skills and experience.

  • The Conservation Register, owned by the Institute of Conservation (Icon), provides detailed information on conservation businesses based in the UK and Ireland as well as a range of ‘Care and conservation’ guidance information. It is searchable by specialist skill and geographical location and each business listed has been required to meet rigorous criteria which include professional accreditation. Heritage organisations can receive increased functionality by requesting a login.

  • Cornucopia is an online database of information about more than 6,000 collections in the UK's museums, galleries, archives and libraries.

  • Cultural Leadership Programme
  • The Cultural Leadership Programme will develop opportunities for current and future leaders, encouraging their creativity, ambition and entrepreneurialism.

  • Cultural Property Advice Website
  • This advisory service is intended for those working in the art, antiques and antiquities trade, for private individuals and for staff working in museums, libraries and archives. The service will support you in buying, selling and collecting art, antiques and antiquities legitimately and with an understanding of the object's origin and history.

  • Framework for the Future
  • Framework for the Future was published in February 2003 and set out the government's vision for English public libraries over the next ten years. It describes a programme for transforming these well-loved institutions into centres of knowledge and creativity that continue to be relevant and valued in the 21 st century.

  • Icon is the lead voice for the conservation of cultural heritage in the UK. Icon is committed to raising awareness of, and standards in, conservation and runs the PACR (Professional Accreditation of Conservator-Restorers) scheme.
