MLA South East is governed by a Board of Directors and our current members represent MLA South East's sectoral and wider regional interests. Our 'Board Members' section gives biographical details about our current Board.
MLA South East is registered as a charity and company limited by guarantee, and Board members serve as (voluntary) trustees of the charity and directors of the company. They are responsible for the good governance and financial management of the organisation and for setting policies and corporate strategy. The Chair of the MLA South East Board is a member of the national MLA Board, together with the chairs from the eight other regional agencies.
The maximum term of office for a Director is two consecutive periods of three years each. One third of the Directors must stand down or seek re-election each year. The Board meets quarterly.
